Female Space Founders
About the Project
Led by Kelly Keodara, the Female Space Founders project was born from a simple observation: information about women building space companies was incredibly scattered.
While researching the global space ecosystem, I repeatedly found inspiring female founders and co-founders across satellites, robotics, Earth observation, sustainability, defense, and emerging space technologies — yet there was no centralized place where these pioneers were visibly gathered, recognized, and documented together.
This project aims to change that.
The goal is to create a living, global reference point for female-founded space companies — a place where founders, investors, researchers, media, students, and the wider industry can better discover the women actively shaping the future of space.
Importantly, this is intended to remain a working and evolving document. As the space industry grows rapidly, new founders and companies continue to emerge across every region of the world. Community contributions, corrections, and additions are therefore welcomed.
In an increasingly AI-driven world, human verification, context, and collective knowledge matter more than ever. This project values accuracy, collaboration, and visibility — ensuring that the people building the future of space are not overlooked simply because the information was difficult to find.
This project began in May 2026 with 19 founders on the list. My hope is that this list continues to expand across continents, generations, and frontiers — reflecting the growing number of women helping shape humanity’s future in space.
Women are not just participating in NewSpace. We are helping launch it forward.
